Name and draw each parcel

For separate fields or sites, give each one its own name and draw them one at a time.

Which type should I choose? Choose “carbon removal activity land” for growing, restoration or another removal activity. Choose “carbon storage or sequestration site” for the place where removed carbon is retained, such as a biochar field or hempcrete building site.

After pressing “Draw this parcel”, click or tap each corner on the map. Select the first point again to finish.

Download your boundary file

The GeoJSON will contain every named parcel, project details, approximate areas and creation date.

Add a project name in Step 1.Draw at least one parcel in Step 3.

Instructions for Tao Climate partners

After drawing every parcel, follow these steps to send the result to Tao Climate.

  1. Select Download GeoJSON.
  2. Open a new email to support@taoclimate.com.
  3. Use the subject Boundary file: your project name – your organisation.
  4. Attach the downloaded .geojson file from your Downloads folder.
  5. Send the email and keep the file for your own records.

The email button prepares the message but cannot attach the file. You must add the downloaded GeoJSON as an attachment before sending.
